User Fee Schedules for various

Corporation purposes

 

WHEREAS Section 220.1 of the Municipal Act RSO 2001 authorizes Council to pass by-laws imposing fees or charges for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of the municipality and for the use of its property;

AND WHEREAS the Section 102.1 of the Municipal Act authorizes the Council or delegate, by by-law, to an employee of the municipality any powers, duties or functions that are administrative in nature, excluding duties that are legislative or relate to passing by-laws, adopting estimates, levying taxes or making appointments to offices created by statute.

NOW THEREFORE The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Larder Lake hereby enacts as follows:

  1. The fees and charges set out on the attached Schedules are hereby imposed and ratified. Set out as follows:

    Schedule ‘A’: Equipment and Aggregrates

    Schedule ‘B’: Water, Sewer, and Environmental Services

    Schedule ‘C’: Corporate Services

    Schedule ‘D’: Planning Services

    Schedule ‘E’: Community Services

  1. All fees and charges set out in this by-law shall be payable prior to the provision of the service unless an agreement in writing is made to the contrary and approved by a municipal official.
  2. In the event any fee or charge imposed herein remains unpaid after provision of the service or is otherwise in arrears, such fees or charges may be added to the Tax Roll for any real property in the municipality, the owner of which is responsible for paying the fee or charge and shall be collected in like manner as municipal taxes.
  3. Council does hereby delegates the Clerk-Treasurer of the Corporation of Town of Larder Lake, the authority to administer such fees and charges and approve such forms and procedures as may be required for the efficient administration of the fees and charges.
  4. The fees set out in this By-law shall be reviewed on an annual basis by each department.
  5. If there is a discrepancy in fee prices, the fees set out herein supersede any fees listed in other bylaws.
